Rashelle Litchmore will describe her ongoing work in Ontario, Canada on the experiences of Black youth in the education system, with a focus on Neurodiverse Black youth, She will outline a community-based,  youth-led research project work being done in partnership with the Centre for Diverse Learners of Halton-Hamilton, Ontario, Ase Community Foundation for Black Canadians with Disabilities, and the Afro-Canadian Caribbean Association of Hamilton. The presentation will include consideration of the challenges faced by Black researchers doing equity focused work in the years following the 2020 “racial reckoning”.
