- Mar 314:30 PMMelrod Lecture: The Struggle Against Antizionism: From the Soviet Era to TodayDiscrimination has never been contained solely on the political right or political left. In the Post-Holocaust world, the systemic Othering of Jews has often proceeded under ideologies of "antizionism." Resistance to antizionist discrimination has often been led by students. This lecture by Shaul Kelner will explore characteristics of antizionism in Soviet and American contexts, and some of the ways young Jewish activists came together in solidarity in the USSR of the 1970s and the USA of the 2020s to challenge power structures in governments and in academia, and demand justice for Jews.
