Interested in working on campus this year? Have federal work study as part of your financial aid package but unsure how it works? Don’t have federal work study but still want to work on campus? Attend this workshop to meet with our staff members who oversee Student Employment at Conn. They will go over how to look for jobs on campus, submit an application and get your paperwork approved. Attendance: Highly recommended if you are interested in working on campus.

Now it’s time for you to matriculate and sign the Honor Code – and most importantly ring the gong! Attendance: Required.

Connecticut College will mark its 111th academic year with our New Student Convocation ceremony, a joyous and proud College tradition. President Andrea Chapdelaine will call together the College community and officially proclaim the opening of the academic year. Tanya Schneider, Hans and Ella McCollum '21 Vahlteich Associate Professor of Chemistry and winner of the 2025 Nancy Batson Nisbet Rash Faculty Award for Excellence in Research will deliver the keynote address. Attendance: Required for new students. Please be seated by 4:25pm. Convocation is a formal college event, so the faculty and President Chapdelaine will be wearing academic regalia. There is no dress code for students, but you are welcome to dress up as much as you like.
