If you are a recruited varsity athlete, please stay in contact with your coach regarding the medical clearance process and details about your practice times and locations. We’ve designed your Welcome Weekend schedule to avoid conflicts with required practices; however, there may be optional practices or workouts not included on this schedule. Your coaches understand the importance of Welcome Weekend and expect you to prioritize Welcome Weekend events—especially placement tests and auditions. If you're interested in trying out as a walk-on, reach out directly to the coach of the team for more information. If trying out creates a scheduling conflict, please contact Dean Morash at emorash@conncoll.edu.

Transfer | Your Residence Hall
You will meet your house staff and check-in at tables located right outside the main entrance to your residence hall. Please arrive at your assigned arrival time (Group A, B or C). Student staff will be available to assist you in moving your things into your room. If you traveled by car, please have the driver move the car to one of our parking lots (North, South or Gravel) to make room for your housemates to arrive and unpack.

Meet the Athletic Department team and learn about the student athletic experience at Conn. This session is for incoming varsity athletes and their families only. Attendance: Required for Varsity athletes.

Transfer | Dayton Arena at the Athletic Center
Lunch will be available in Dayton Arena at the Athletic Center. Parents & Families are welcome to join you for lunch today. The Athetic Center can be reached on foot by taking the pedestrian bridge located next to Unity House across Rt. 32 (there are a number of stairs). Shuttle bus service will be available from 11:30am-1:30pm. Pick-Up and Drop-Off will be at Castle Court, between Palmer Auditorium and Cummings Arts Center.

After the President's Assembly, it will be time to say good-bye to your parents and family members, so that you (students) can start the rest of your Welcome Weekend program. After you say your goodbyes and take a photo outside of Cro, head to dinner at Harris Refectory at your designated time and meet up with your SAs and FYS. Your next event will start at 7:30 PM.After saying their goodbyes, parents and families will join President Chapdelaine and the Conn community for a send-off reception. This event is for parents and families only.

Transfer | Meet at the top of Tempel Green (across from Blaustein) to take the shuttle bus down to Dayton Arena.
Meet your Transfer Student Advisers at the top of Tempel Green so that you can head down on the shuttle busses together for dinner in Dayton Arena - this will keep the lines shorter and your TAs can show you how things work! Make sure to bring your Camel Card so that you can swipe in for your meal.

Connecticut College’s President, Andrea Chapdelaine, along with Erika Smith, Dean of the College and Vice President for Retention and Success, and Student Government Association President Adriana Manzano, will extend a formal welcome to all new students in Palmer Auditorium. As you enter Palmer Auditorium, you will be welcomed by our upperclass students! Following the formal program, you will take part in your first major Conn campus tradition: Camel Moments, where you will hear from our upperclass students about what make Conn so special to them. Attendance: Required for students.

Transfer | Your ResLife Staff will let you know where your House/Floor meetings will take place.
Get to meet other students in your house, learn about some important resources and protocols, and, most importantly, get to know your Res Life staff. You will be dismissed by residence house/floor. Attendance: Required.

Each night of Welcome Weekend, we will host social events known as Batch Blasts. These events were funded in perpetuity by an anonymous donor in honor of Esther Batchelder from the Class of 1919. Relax after a long day of moving in with a round of mini golf, airbrush tattoos, and a magician. Space is limited.
