ZOOM INFO & BACKGROUNDS
This page contains information on Zoom Video Teleconferencing, including licensing, merging accounts, downloading virtual backgrounds and hosting a meeting. Students, staff and faculty should read the section below that applies to them regarding licensing and merging accounts.
Please Note: Anyone can host a Zoom meeting for up to 100 participants for 40 minutes or be a participant in a Zoom meeting without a license.
Students: If you currently have a personal Zoom Pro, Webinar or Room license, do not merge your Zoom account with your Connecticut College Zoom account as you won't have access to a Zoom license through the college. You can decline the option to merge accounts after logging into the Connecticut College Zoom page, linked below.
Staff: If you currently have a personal Zoom Pro, Webinar or Room license, do not merge your Zoom account unless you will be purchasing a Zoom license through your department and have an account number to charge to. You can choose whether you want to merge accounts after logging into the Connecticut College Zoom page, linked below.
Faculty: If you are currently teaching a credit course, you have access to a Zoom Pro license through the college. Email Mike Dreimiller at mcdre@conncoll.edu to obtain a license. Faculty who have a personal Zoom Pro license can merge their personal account with their Connecticut College account and Zoom will automatically reimburse the unused portion of those licenses. You can choose whether you want to merge accounts after logging into the Connecticut College Zoom page, linked below.
