The Environmental Case Against AIA Lear Environmental LectureJoin the Goodwin-Niering Center for the Environment as Karla Heurich Harrison '28 Director, Derek Turner examines the strong prima facie environmental case against using generative AI. Turner will explore the potential probability of global environmental catastrophe, the significant additional consumption of energy and land-use relative to our inability to adequately offset decarbonization and climate change mitigation efforts. Join in the discussion on why specific ideas about AI technology may be fundamentally misguided.
