Things really get going in September!

Highlights of Fall Weekend 2025

Fall sports in full swing

Students in Professor of Art Andrea Wollensack’s First-Year Seminar, “Art in Real Life,” share their thoughts on the work of artist Werner Pfeiffer during class in the Linda Lear Center for Special Collections and Archives in Shain Library. Foregrounding the idea that experiencing art is subjective, engages multiple senses and involves dialogue, this course presses students to give their full, attentive presence to artworks viewed in real life, not through reproductions. 

Fall Weekend A Cappella Showcase 

All seven of Conn’s a cappella groups performed under the tent on Tempel Green during Fall Weekend.

The Student Government Assembly meets for the first time this year as a full body in the Ernst Common Room. The SGA Assembly includes the executive board, the four class presidents, and a senator from each residence house.

Camels Care Fest, run by the Office of Wellbeing and Health Promotion, celebrates mental health and well-being for everyone while providing resources about managing the stress of college and looking out for friends. The event featured decorative mask making; Groton Town police officer Heather McClelland’s comfort dog, Chase; face painting; information booths and more.

Student bands perform at Arbofest 

Student bands Brisa Azul and Marmalady perform as part of Fall Weekend’s Arbofest on Tempel Green. The event, traditionally held in the Arboretum amphitheater, was moved to the Fall Weekend tent due to weather.
